Movie to close North Street Saturday and Sunday in downtown Baton Rouge


North Street in downtown Baton Rouge will be closed to traffic from 5 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 23 and Sunday, Jan. 24 for the filming of scenes for the movie Jack Reacher 2: Never Go Back, starring Tom Cruise.

Baton Rouge City Police will be on location, restricting traffic before, during and after the closure on the 100, 200, 300, 400, 500 and 600 blocks of North Street. 

Baton Rouge City Police will have ample officers onsite between 3rd St. and 4th St. at Main St. and Spanish Town Rd.
**The Red Stick Farmers Market and Main Street Market will be OPEN for business during their regular hours.


In addition, “No Parking” signs will be posted on the following streets for the filming and its preparations during the time periods below:


7 a.m. Friday, Jan. 22 – 4 p.m. Monday, Jan. 25  

300 and 200 blocks of North Street


5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 22 – 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 24

100, 400, 500 and 600 blocks of North Street

500 and 600 blocks of N. 4th Street

500 and 600 blocks of N. 3rd Street

500 block of Lafayette Street
