The Manship Theatre is proud to present an encore screening of “After The Spill,” a film by award winning filmmaker Jon Bowermaster.

“After The Spill” is an in-depth look at the BP oil spill and the effect of the spill and Big Oil’s exploration and production operations on the Louisiana coast. The film features James Carville, John Barry, Nick Spitzer, Gen. Russell Honore and others directly affected by the spill.

Ten years ago Hurricane Katrina devastated the coast of Louisiana. Five years later the BP operated Deepwater Horizon exploded and spilled more than 200 million gallons of oil into the Gulf of Mexico, the worst ecological disaster in North American history. Those events along with other man made and natural factors contribute to accelerating land loss.

LES LIASONS DANGEREUSES re-broadcast from National Theatre London

February 16th at 2pm and 7pm

PG-13 – 180 mins

Tickets: $16.50 plus fees

Language: English

Directed by Josie Rourke (Coriolanus), the cast includes Elaine Cassidy (The Paradise), Janet McTeer (The White Queen) and Dominic West (The Wire). In 1782, Choderlos de Laclos’ novel of sex, intrigue and betrayal in pre-revolutionary France scandalised the world. Two hundred years later, Christopher Hampton's irresistible adaptation swept the board, winning the Olivier and Evening Standard Awards for Best Play. Josie Rourke’s revival now marks the play’s thirty year anniversary.

Former lovers, the Marquise de Merteuil and Vicomte de Valmont now compete in games of seduction and revenge. Merteuil incites Valmont to corrupt the innocent Cecile de Volanges before her wedding night but Valmont has targeted the peerlessly virtuous and beautiful Madame de Tourvel. While these merciless aristocrats toy with others’ hearts and reputations, their own may prove more fragile than they supposed.
