NOFF Early Bird Deadline

December 18, 2017

Born in a city known for its eclectic and artistic vibrancy, the New Orleans Film Festival (NOFF) has sought out bold and passionate storytellers since 1989. It is the longest-running festival of its kind in the state of Louisiana and one of the largest film festivals in the South. It is one of the few film festivals that is Oscar-qualifying in all three Academy-accredited categories: Narrative Short, Documentary Short, and Animated Short—and it’s been recognized by MovieMaker Magazine as one of the “Top 50 Film Festivals Worth the Entry Fee” every year since 2012. Submissions are now open for the New Orleans Film Festival 2018, and the festival is particularly interested in spotlighting Louisiana talent and in considering work from those underrepresented in the film landscape: last year’s festival saw 54% of its slate from women and gender non-conforming directors and 45% from directors of color.
